Meet our team
Prior to co-founding Factor in 2013, Kareem spent 18 years at global creative agencies including Organic, FCB, Ogilvy & Mather, and agency.com. He's led the creation of highly-awarded campaigns for brands such as Nike, Google, Ubisoft Entertainment, Bank of America, Constellation Brands, and plenty more. His work has been honored by the One Show, the New York Festival, Communication Arts, and more.
He holds a BA from Princeton University, and two MAs from the London School of Economics & Political Science. He's also a certified and current airline pilot; on weekends and evenings you'll find him flying regional jets for Skywest Airlines out of SFO.
Before co-founding Factor, Jola spent 14 years crafting highly-awarded digital and print campaigns for brands such as Intel, Google, The Meth Project, Constellation Brands, Sony Computer Entertainment, and many more. She’s led creative teams at agencies such as Organic and agency.com, and her work has been honored by Communication Arts and the FWA, among others.
She holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the New York Institute of Technology. She’s also an accomplished photographer, proud mom, and yoga enthusiast. When she's not at work, you'll usually find her doing acro yoga in Golden Gate Park.
Lisa has spent 25 years at creative agencies such as Organic, M+P, BBDO, TBWA and Team One managing client business crossing a range of industries, channels and markets. She's led the development of highly-effective marketing solutions for brands such as Foster Farms, Intel, Lexus, M&M's-Mars, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan Europe, Quaker, Visa, Walmart, Wells Fargo and many more.
Lisa has a B.A. in Advertising from CSUF. She lives in one of the sunniest parts of San Francisco, Potrero Hill, with her husband and her dog. When she's not at work you can find her taking photos, watching movies, or exploring wild and remote places.
Mike has spent the better part of his professional career developing award winning campaigns at agencies such as Leo Burnett and Arc Worldwide. A true multidisciplinary creative at home in any medium a campaign requires. He’s led work with Norton, NatureMade, Nintendo, Google and many more. His work has been recognized for ADDY’s, EFFIE’s, and POPAI’s.
He has a BFA from the New England School of Art. When not working, you can find him cycling the hills all over the Bay Area or on a 20ft billboard along the No.4 Shinjuku highway out of Tokyo.
Jennifer has worked at some of the most creative shops in advertising, including Goodby Silverstein, Chiat Day, Cramer/Krasselt and CME. She’s developed award-winning campaigns for clients such as Ameristar Casinos, Budweiser, Corona Beer, Disney, e-Trade, Hewlett-Packard, Kashi, Levi’s, Northface, Procter and Gamble, Southwest Airlines, the Wall Street Journal, and plenty more.
Her work has won One Show pencils, National ANDYs, San Francisco Show, Chicago Show, and The Art Directors Annual. She holds a B.A. in communications from Syracuse University.
Brian has spent the past seven years at agencies such as Organic and Grey, creating and overseeing a variety of national and global campaigns for brands like Norton, Visa, Ryder, Graffigna Wines, and the Meth Project—just to name a few. His work has been recognized by Communication Arts and FWA and spans across digital, traditional, and customer engagement.
Brian holds a BFA in Copywriting from the Academy of Art University and spends his weekends hiking in the foothills of Mt. Diablo and exploring the East Bay with his girlfriend Arielle and dog, Roulette.
Aleksey has spent nine years designing and art-directing at agencies such as Team Detroit, Organic, Campbell-Ewald and GlobalHue. He has created campaigns for brands such as Ford, Lincoln, USAA, Wells Fargo, Quaker, US Navy, and more. His work has been featured in AdWeek and Creativity.
Aleksey is a proud alumnus of Michigan State University, where he received a BA in Advertising. Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, he is a diehard Detroit Red Wings fan and a true aficionado of track jackets in all shapes and sizes.
Minji is a highly-seasoned interactive art director and designer with ten years' experience at agencies such as Critical Mass, Organic, and now Factor San Francisco. She's crafted polished digital experiences for clients including Google, Hilton, Constellation Brands, Babybot, HP, and many more.
Her work has won multiple Webbys, W3 Awards, and Applied Arts Interactive Awards. She holds a B.A. in Communication Design from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. She lives in Seattle, hails from Vancouver, and likes flashy cars.
Lauren is an interactive designer and art director from the Detroit area with over 8 years experience at agencies including Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Organic, AQKA, and VSA Partners. She has done thoughtful, strategic design work for companies such as Google, Nike, Chevrolet, and Hilton Hotels.
She earned her BFA in Graphic Design at the College for Creative Studies in 2009. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and two cats, and enjoys cooking, listening to records, and relaxing at the beach.
Arika has over four years design experience. She started at the agency Organic, designing campaigns for brands including Nike, Quaker, and Nature’s Way. She then freelanced at Google's Brand Studio, and now continues to work on Google projects in her new role at Factor.
Arika has a BFA in Web Design from the Academy of Art University. You can usually find her baking, hopelessly overwatering her houseplants, and hanging out with her fiancé and two cats.
Teanne has over ten years of project management experience at various global agencies, working across B2B and B2C brands. She's worked on campaigns and projects for Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, Nestlé, Nissan, Volvo, and Pure Storage. At Factor, she handles multiple initiatives for our Google clients.
Her projects have been honored by Communication Arts and have won multiple International Automotive Advertising Awards. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two small children.
Josh is a highly-awarded, seasoned copywriter with stints at just about every big-name agency under his belt: Goodby Silverstein, Razorfish, Leo Burnett, Arnold Worldwide, McCann, Havas, and now Factor. He's penned standout campaigns for Google, Sprint, HP, Kashi, Clorox, and many others.
Josh holds an M.S. in Communications from VCU Brandcenter, and a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Oregon. He also holds a Ph.D. in Awesome from the University of Life.
James has spent the past seventeen years crafting beautiful, compelling designs at some of the world’s finest creative agencies, including AKQA, EVB, BBDO, R/GA, Publicis, Organic, and now Factor. His work has been honored by the One Show, London International Awards, and more.
James holds a BA in Industrial Design from Chulalongkorn University, and spends his free time running five restaurants (!) and sailing the beautiful San Francisco Bay.
Francis has over ten years’ experience creating compelling advertising, design, and motion graphics for clients such as Google, Facebook, Norton, Nike, Sears, and many more. He’s worked at the nation’s top digital agencies, and has taught at the Miami Ad School.
Francis holds a BS in Computer Graphics from DePaul University, and currently resides in Chicago. He likes pizza, coffee, dogs, basketball, and other awesome things.
